Coaster Crochet Pattern Zora

This coaster crochet pattern is unique and challenging, but also really fun to make! Perfect for practicing more advanced techniques. Whether you’re just starting out with crochet or already have plenty of experience, this is a super cool coaster to crochet!
This pattern is an expansion to our basic pattern. This variation is more challenging because of the used technique in round 4: you crochet this round (partly) in opposite direction, which gives such a unique effect!

- Level 2.5 - intermediate-hard, expansion to basic pattern
- Can be made with any yarn (make sure you check the yarn label and use the hook named on the label)
- You crochet in rounds. You end each round with a slip stitch, except for the last round.

What is the size of the crocheted coaster?
The coaster will be ±12cm/4,7in when using the listed materials. Please remember: the final size (and result) will vary per person, due to personal crochet techniques, yarn and stitch tension, the used materials such as the hook and yarn, and so on.
What is the level of this crochet pattern?
The level of this pattern is intermediate-hard. Suitable for experienced crocheters or beginners looking for a challenge!
Can I sell of gift a coaster made from this pattern?

The pattern
Row 1-3 is a basic pattern. For more detailed information and step by step instructions for these rows, check the pattern here. You can also watch a video of row 4 at the end of this blog.
Row 1: make a magic ring, chain 3 (counts as first dc). Crochet 15 more dc into the
ring. End with a slst in the 3rd chain. (16)
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 1 dc in same. Crochet 2 dc in each st. End with a slst in the 3rd chain. (32)

Row 4:
You crochet this row in opposite direction! This means slst's and sc's are reversed stitches.
[chain 6, skip 1 chain and 2 dc, rev slst in next chain. Pull the chain 6 free from under the rev slst, as it may get stuck under there.
Crochet hdc's in other direction (usual direction): 1 hdc in skipped dc, 1 hdc in prev skipped dc, ch 1, turn your work so you can crochet into the chain-6, work 3 hdc into the chain-6, ch 1, 1 rev slst in chainspace where first rev slst was also crocheted.
